Our intellectual faculty is meant to reason, to solve logical problems: mathematics, balance chemical equations, help us figure out how to re-wire our basements.

But we use it to try to figure out why our ex doesn’t call. This is a complete misuse of our intellect. This is too draining for our intellect. And time-consuming.

Figuring out why our lover or ex-lover is acting the way they are, is work for our instincts, for our intuition.
