I deadlifted 159 kilos before the pandemic. That’s 350 pounds. Not bad for a petite middle aged women? It took me years to get there.

Happy teenage guys walk into the gym looking at me all impressed. Six months to a year they are smashing my PR. Okay, sometimes two years. It depends on their base level and commitment, but still.

Must be nice to have all that testosterone and growth hormone, and not to mention that young mitochondria.

And they are always laughing too. Everything is funny to them. Someone farts, they laugh. Someone says something mildly sus, they laugh. They show each other a meme on the phone they laugh.

It is so easy for them to look fit. All they have to do is do a deadlift, have a protein shake and go to bed. They wake up chiseled.

Girls like fit guys. So they probably have five girlfriends each. Two in high school, one in college, and one a city over who they met at a cottage party last summer. And if they like guys instead, I am sure their options are limitless.

I imagine their after gym night is awesome too. They go home, eat whatever they want, text “hey Beautiful” to five people, play some Fortnite, look at some memes and laugh themselves to sleep.
